O atleta norte-americano, Anthony Harris, de 26 anos, é um dos novos reforços da Liga Sorocabana de Basquete (LSB/PM Sorocaba) e já treina com o elenco, como lateral, visando os importantes compromissos da equipe para a temporada de 2024.
“O Harris chegou bem, está aclimatado e vem trabalhando muito bem, aumentando o nível dos nossos treinamentos. Certamente, é um jogador que vai nos ajudar bastante na temporada”, destaca o técnico da LSB, Rinaldo Rodrigues.
Os outros reforços da Liga Sorocabana de Basquete para 2024 são: o armador João Fued, o ala/armador Dilber Ribeiro, o ala/pivô norte-americano Malik Hunt e o ala/pivô Elivelton dos Santos.
A LSB representa o Município em campeonatos oficiais, com a parceria da Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Esporte e Qualidade de Vida (Sequav). Em 2023, a equipe foi medalha de ouro na 65ª edição dos Jogos Regionais do Estado de São Paulo da 8ª Região Administrativa, medalha de bronze na 85ª edição dos Jogos Abertos do Interior “Horácio Baby Barioni”, além de garantir o título da Copa São Paulo Adulta Masculina, o posto de vice do Campeonato Brasileiro Adulto Masculino e o terceiro lugar no Campeonato Paulista da 1ª Divisão Masculina.
